Read for the decision
Identify what the stem wants you to diagnose, investigate, manage or prioritise.
Knowing the guideline is not the same as finding the mark. Apply it to the exact question asked.
Train pivot-word analysis, prioritisation and safe primary-care decisions across current exam difficulty, then choose the correct ICFRACGP pathway before checkout.
Both trials include 29 exam-level AKT questions, 19 new-style KFP questions, 18 CCE questions across 6 cases, the App, AI Tutor and Academy.
Applied knowledge under pressure
Questions are mapped to the current curriculum and upgraded after exam cycles to reflect examiner logic, subtle traps and borderline primary-care decisions.
“AKT success comes from recognising what the question is actually asking, then selecting the safest and most defensible primary-care answer.”The PassGP AKT method
The dedicated AKT page publishes 2,795 advanced questions and 14 mocks. Individual results vary.

Examiner-led answer selection
AKT marks are lost through missed pivot words, over-escalation, plausible distractors and time pressure. PassGP corrects those reasoning patterns through difficult questions and precise explanations.

Yes. This AKT preparation is intended for doctors preparing under the ICFRACGP pathway. It focuses on applying knowledge to the question’s exact decision through pivot-word analysis, prioritisation and safe primary-care judgement.
The package finder includes RACGP and ICFRACGP Fellowship, with pathway-specific Foundation and Examiner’s Choice checkouts. Select your intended pathway, exam timeline and support needs before opening a recommendation. Standalone bespoke one-to-one teaching is separate and does not include platform access.
The AKT approach starts by identifying the decision in the stem: what you are being asked to diagnose, investigate, manage or prioritise. It then looks for the qualifier, safety cue or primary-care constraint that changes which answer is most defensible.
The next step is to rank the options by immediate risk, first-line management and clinical value. An option may be possible but less safe, less timely or less appropriate to the setting. Practice therefore combines difficult questions and explanations with selecting one defensible answer and protecting pacing across the examination.
Read the explanation against the precise decision in the question. Check whether you missed a qualifier, safety cue or primary-care constraint, then consider whether your answer fitted the setting, first-line care and appropriate level of escalation.
Compare the plausible alternatives for safety, timing and clinical value, rather than asking only whether each could ever be correct. The review should help you see why an option is less defensible in this particular context and practise committing to the best answer without losing examination time to overthinking.
Use a full AKT mock to practise pacing and the consistency of your decisions across an examination. The bank lists 14 full mocks, with instant marking and analytics to help you identify weaker areas after the attempt.
Review the mock data and cohort comparisons to focus the next stage of preparation. Alongside the topics you found difficult, revisit the AKT reasoning patterns described here: missed pivot words, over-escalation, plausible distractors and time pressure. Use the question explanations to work through those decisions before your next practice session.
Alongside AKT questions and mocks, complementary resources include more than 500 clinical flashcards with summaries, red flags and key differentials across 19 clinical areas. On-demand podcasts and notes complement small-group teaching on eligible longer plans. The AI Virtual Tutor accepts written or spoken questions about explanations and clinical concepts.
During your subscription, the PassGP App provides access to questions, flashcards, podcasts and progress across desktop, tablet and phone. For direct work on technique, bespoke support offers personalised tutorials, targeted feedback and a mentoring plan. Standalone bespoke teaching does not include platform access.
Choose one answer in each of the three columns: your RACGP or ICFRACGP Fellowship pathway, how soon your exam is, and the support level you prefer. The timeline options run from less than six weeks to more than 12 months. Select View recommendation to open the package matched to those choices.
Foundation is the independent platform-preparation option. Examiner’s Choice adds five hours of personalised examiner-led teaching and a mentoring plan to the platform. Bespoke one-to-one teaching is teaching and mentoring only, without platform access, so distinguish that option from the platform packages before checkout.
